The Parent Letter

10 of your clients’ kids introduced to you in one week, from one page.

Most firms have every client’s email and almost none of their children’s. There is no natural moment to ask, so nobody does. This is the ask, written so the parent says yes.

  • The letter. To the parent, from your own mailbox. One ask: that the kids know who you are. The parent replies and copies them in.
  • The hello. Your reply-all once the kids are on the thread, with three examples of what they can ask you, by age.
  • A note for your CCO. The Marketing Rule, Rule 204-2, Regulation S-P and CAN-SPAM, with a five-box review so it clears in one pass.
  • The next move. A month later, a short note offering a family conversation, and the one-hour outline for running it.
